Mr. Henry Laxton

Hello, my name is Henry Laxton and I am originally from Rector, Arkansas.

I have a BS in Plant Science, MS in Agriculture Sciences and a degree in Early Childhood Development with an emphasis on Psychology and Adult Education.
I am an NCCER (National Center for Construction Education & Research) certified and NOCTI (National Occupational Competency Testing Institute) certified instructor.
Before coming to NEACTC, I was an agriculture science teacher at Cross County High School in Arkansas. I have also taught math at the Valley View Adult Education Center and at Arkansas Northeastern College.

In my class, I focus especially on soft skills and hold my students to a high social and professional standard so they will be successful in our competitive workforce. My favorite part about being at NEACTC is all of the equipment we are able to provide for our students and seeing my students become aware of all the talent they have. We have a state of the art welding center at NEACTC. If you are interested in welding, you won’t find a better welding center in this part of the state and country.

In my spare time, I thoroughly enjoy working in my welding and fabrication shop at home, building and modifying off-road vehicles, traveling to and participating in various off-road rock-climbing challenges.

I hope you decide to join our team and become a completer in our Welding Technology program of study, earn concurrent credit, and obtain as many certifications as I can teach you how to earn!
