Hello and welcome to the world of healthcare! I encourage all of my students to discover their passion in the healthcare field.
My name is Pam Nance and I am the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Instructor at NEACTC. I have been a nurse for over 35 years. I started my career as an LPN after attending classes at Delta Vo Tech in Marked Tree, Arkansas, which is now ASUN-Marked Tree.
I pursued my education by taking classes on and off local campuses at day
and night to eventually obtain my bachelors degree in nursing. I have experience in the hospital setting in the emergency and ambulance
departments. I also have experience in an internal medicine office as an office nurse, as a home health and hospice nurse, in providing dialysis for our nation's veterans.
It is a honor and privilege to teach students about the field of healthcare and to encourage them to take pride in who they become as a healthcare professional.
In our CNA class, students receive instruction through interactive discussion, laboratory and clinical training through hands-on experiences. Once our student completes the state-required CNA classroom and onsite clinical training, they are eligible to take their CNA certification exam. Once they pass, most quickly obtain a position in healthcare. And one of the critical points to note is that NEACTC pays for the state CNA exams--my students do not have to pay anything to take their test!
I encourage all of my students to pursue their dreams and goals. If you have any questions or would like information about our CNA program of study, please contact me at 870-933-5891, extension 28229, or by email at [email protected]
Sincerely,
Pam Nance, RN, BSN
