The Certified Nursing Assistant CNA program of study is a healthcare career-based curriculum providing interactive discussion, laboratory, clinical, and hands-on experiences. Classes offered include Medical Professions, Medical Terminology, Clinical Specialization, and Pathology. Proficiency in reading, spelling and logical thinking are qualifications for students. Participation in the HOSA and/or Skills USA student organization is highly encouraged.
Students will receive training as a certified nursing assistant in accordance with the state of Arkansas Office of Long Term Care. Upon successful completion of training, students will be eligible to test for CNA licensure. Upon high school graduation, students are encouraged to continue education and training in post secondary institutions.
