Mr. Curtis Christenberry

Hello.  My name is Curtis Christenberry and I am the HVACR instructor at NEACTC.  I earned an AAS degree in Energy Control Technology at ASUN, Marked Tree, Arkansas.  I have an AR HVACR Contractor license and an AR Boiler Operator license.  I hold certifications in EPA 608 Universal, 609 Automotive, R410A, and Preventative Maintenance.

I have worked as an HVACR technician for the Jonesboro Public Schools maintenance department for seven years.  Prior to that I worked as an industrial HVAC technician for D&L, Inc., and later, was employed at Williams Mechanical Services.  I have also been employed in the printing industry for 18 years prior to my career move into HVACR.

The HVACR field is in high demand, technicians are needed, and you can make a really good income doing it.  Many students who enroll in HVACR learn to really like this field and decide to make it their career.  It is a great career and as time passes, you will find that HVACR technicians become more and more valued.  Older technicians are retiring and leaving many jobs to be filled by newly trained HVACR technicians.

Give HVACR a try.  It is a lot of fun to diagnose and repair issues.  Worst case, you could save lots of money servicing your own heating and air conditioning system and your refrigeration equipment.  And you could do your own minor electrical repairs as well.

I hope to see you enroll in the HVACR program of study at NEACTC soon!
