NEACTC Students Win State Championships

Hot Springs - NEA Career & Tech Center students won three state championships in the state of Arkansas SkillsUSA competition April 12th.
A total of fourteen NEA Career & Tech Center students placed first, second, or third at the Hot Springs Convention Center.
Three new banners will now don the entrance at your regional Career & Tech Center for state championship performances in Commercial Baking, CNC Turning Specialist, and HVACR. Banners were awarded in 2015 for state championships in HVACR (2014 also) and CNC Milling.
Sara Chamness (Valley View), Garrett Conrey (Westside), and Hunter Carr (Greene County Tech) were awarded gold medals in the impressive closing ceremony April 13th.
Silver medals for state runnerup performances went to Zachary Poe (Greene County Tech), David Morrow (Jonesboro), Axl Niemeyer (Westside), Ryan Draper (Greene County Tech), and Ryan Schmidgall (Westside).
Bringing home bronze medals were Zackarie Combs (Nettleton), Jensen Russell (Westside), Justin Prine (Westside), Heather Smith (Valley View), Shayla Burcham (Brookland), and Caylin Fort (Westside) for winning third place in statewide competition.
Students participated in automotive service, health science technology, criminal justice, advanced manufacturing/CIM, automotive collision, culinary arts, and HVACR.
