Health Science Students Accepted for M*A*S*H
Jonesboro - UAMS Northeast will once again feature its Medical Applications of Sciences for Health, or M*A*S*H program for high school sophomores and juniors.  This is the 27th year that the M*A*S*H program has been offered.

WorthamThe two-week M*A*S*H event begins June 7th and will include two Career & Tech Center students, twins Ashlie (at left in photo) and Alison Wortham (Paragould), students in Ms. Lynn Wolfe-Sloan's Medical Professions Health Science Technology program of study.

Students accepted into the prestigious program must exhibit scholastic ability (GPA), construct an essay on why they wish to be included in M*A*S*H, be team players, express an interest in pursuing a career in the medical field, receive teacher recommendations, and note awards, achievements, and community service.

The process for inclusion is very competitive as a UAMS faculty and staff committee reviewed applications from Northeast Arkansas teens prior to interviewing and then inviting students to participate.

M*A*S*H training is designed to enhance student medical knowledge while earning valuable experience in the field of health care.

CONGRATULATIONS Ashlie and Alison!
