The ASUN Weldathon was held March 5th on the Jonesboro campus.  Capturing first was JHS Senior Carlos Monreal while GCT Senior Layne Phillips finished in second place at the annual Weldathon.

February 26th Garrett Pritchett, another JHS Senior placed 5th in the state of Arkansas at the United Welding Institute's 2021 Welding Competition held at Pottsville, Arkansas.

All three NEACTC students were awarded scholarships for their efforts.  Pritchett was awarded a scholarship to the United Welding Institute.  Both Phillips and Monreal earned scholarships to ASUN according to ASUN Instructor Ken Beach.  Pritchett also earned a plaque while Monreal earned a large trophy.

The Welding & Fabrication Technology program at NEACTC is in its third year of operation and is led by Instructor Henry Laxton.

Congratulations to these students for a job well done and to NEACTC students for competing and representing NEACTC so well in these contests.
